The NFIRS 5 Alive installation folder contains a "Database" sub-folder. This sub-folder contains 6 critical files:
The first three files support the structure of the database. The first two are ; "N5Alivev12.4DC" & "N5AliveV12.RSR". These files contain the structure of the database and are changed when the application is upgraded. The third structure file is the structure index file. The index files makes connections between database elements. If you quit the database and delete this file it will be rebuilt when you restart the database.
The second three files hold the data you import into NFIRS 5 Alive. The first two data files "N5AliveV12.4DD" & "N5AliveV12.4DR" contain the data. The third data file is a data index file. If you quit the database and delete this file it will be rebuilt when you restart the database. Since the first two files contain your data, they are never deleted during the upgrade process.
