At the Operations Window press the Preferences button. Then press the Passwords tab.
Most NFIRS 5 Alive applications will reside on an individual's personal computer. However, you may wish to setup the program at a workstation which can be shared by several fire department members. Under these circumstances you may wish to establish some password restrictions.
1. Press Preferences / Passwords tab.
2. Enter in an Administrator password which is used to keep others out of the Preferences area.
3. You may now enter passwords for up to 5 teams with privileges. Each team is defined by a password and check boxes to add privileges. Do not forget your master password. Once entered you will need it to gain entry to Preferences.
Once passwords have been established a "Log-on" button will appear. Use this button to enter your password and receive the privileges defined for your group.
In most cases passwords will not be necessary.
